In May 2007, Tenco got the NP EN ISO 22000:2005 certification awarded by SGS ICS. With this, Tenco is one of the first Portuguese companies in the field of coffee roasting to achieve this important certification in the food safety area.
More than a way of differentiation in the market, this certification is intended to meet the new demands of consumers, concerning food safety.
Starting with the process of importing coffee, roasting, packaging, distribution, as well as the packaging of sugar and the provision of technical assistance, Tenco imposes quality and professionalism in all its activities. By this the organization concentrates efforts in the improvement of its services and in the development of new products.

By this the organization concentrates efforts in the improvement of its services and in the development of new products.
Following its strategy of production based on constant improvement, Tenco deployed in 2011 two new international standards:
- Quality Management System according to standard NP EN ISO 9001:2008;
- Environmental Management System in accordance with standard NP EN ISO 14001:2004.
The implementation of a quality management system (NP EN ISO 9001:2008) will allow Tenco to manage all the critical factors of success. Through a systematic approach of the organization, with a clear identification of procedures and their relative importance, the proper use of all available resources and the setting of objectives ensure continuous improvement of differentiated products and services.
The requirements defined in the standard NP EN ISO 14001:2004 enable the implementation of an environmental management system, taking into account, beyond the legal demands, any other demands endorsed by the organization. This system aims to promote a significant increase in the environmental performance of Tenco. To achieve this, we will set up basic guidelines for the creation and implementation of management tools. These guidelines intend to identify all the environmental conditions and to monitor their impacts, through strategies of prevention of environmental pollution, promoting the growth of the entire organization.
